This report assesses the applications CİSST submitted throughout 2025 to the official bodies mandated to monitor and inspect human rights in prisons in Turkey, and the responses received. Examining the mechanisms used, from prison monitoring boards and provincial and district human rights boards to the Ministry of Justice and the Ombudsman Institution, it sets out the current state of rights violations in prisons and discusses how effective these monitoring mechanisms are.
