Women in German Prisons

This paper focuses on the current performance of women prisoners in Germany. First, a general introduction is given, then the living conditions of imprisoned women, their health problems, (drug) addictions and the governmental programs specifically originated for women prisoners. Finally, the good process of the panel system in Germany and what still needs to be done are discussed.
